    Just updated my QC826 to the latest firmware and now the QCView app on my iPhone can no longer connect. Says "device not support"

    Mine did the same on my mobile devices.
    It still works on my computer.
    Did you receive any answers from Qsee?

    Thanks for confirming it's not just me. I opened a ticket with them yesterday and haven't gotten a response yet (probably closed for the weekend). I'll post an update here when I hear back from them though.  The iDMSS Plus app works however but you can't use scan-n-view with it. I think that Q-See needs to update the iOS app to be compatible with the new firmware?

    Update:  Still no word from support.  If you have the same issue please submit a support request so if they get enough of them maybe they'll fix it sooner.

    I also have the "device not support" issue on my Android phone after I upgraded my QC 826 NVR firmware.

    Support finally called me back the other day and after about an hour on the phone they gave me an updated firmware that fixed my issues on the QC826.

    The latest version for the QC826 / QCK81 has been posted here to resolve the no support issue.  Thank you for your patience.

    Have you guys noticed you guys getting hack lately? especially Q See DVR?

    All of the current firmware for our products have patches included to ensure secure access.  This was in response to the botnets impacting many IOT devices.  Despite some update with older build dates, they still contain the patches.

     

    Make sure to use Scan N View when viewing your system.  Scan N View is the most secure method of connection.     If you configure port forwarding this can expose your system and network.

     

    No we have not noticed any hacks, especially lately.

    I just updated my 826 and now when connecting via explorer through my network i can no longer access the setup menu.

    If you are not able to reach the web page entirely, you may need to verify the IP address of your system.

    If you are reaching the login screen for the system, but unable to login, you may need to uninstall the old plugin.  Go to Programs & Features on your PC.  Then uninstall any/all instances of "WebClient".

    Brandon, IP address is fine, login is fine, can view cameras fine, won't load setup info under setup tab.

    I would still recommend uninstalling the plugin(s) to see if a reinstall can resolve the problem.  If that does not work, you may need to reach our support team @877-998-3440 to grant us remote access to the computer with issues.

    If your system is operating fine, and you are not benefiting from adding IVA (for QCN8093B) cams, there is no real need.
